Frontend Engineer – Trading Platforms & User Portals

Location: London (Hybrid with flexibility)

The Role

My client is seeking a Frontend Engineer with a passion for crafting high-quality, intuitive applications that users genuinely enjoy. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing both internal trading tools and external-facing portals, while working closely with experienced developers and traders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to systems that directly impact trading operations while helping shape the overall product experience from the ground up.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build and enhance frontend applications for new trading products, client-facing portals, and internal trading tools
  • Oversee frontend development for the corporate website and associated project management
  • Collaborate across teams including product, marketing, trading, and engineering to ensure consistency and performance
  • Play a key role in defining the user experience across multiple stages of the customer lifecycle
  • Get exposure to algorithmic crypto trading and broader system architecture
  • Experience with both personal and professional projects is welcome — an interest in algorithmic trading is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience
  • Experience working on client-facing financial or professional services products is a plus (please share examples of products and their target users)

Proficient with modern frontend tech stack:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, npm
  • Frameworks such as React (portfolio/examples encouraged)
  • Solid understanding of web infrastructure: CDN, Cloudflare, and web server architecture
  • Knowledge of frontend security best practices, including common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, OWASP risks) and how to mitigate them
  • Familiarity with frontend-backend integration (e.g., AJAX, asynchronous data handling)
  • Ability to develop responsive and user-friendly layouts across devices
