Large Banking Client based in Edinburgh IBM Sterling Connect:Direct on Windows, Unix and zOS, including the ability to install, upgrade and configure the Connect:Direct software. This is a niche role which requires a very specific skillset ( Connect:Direct including the ability to use Secure + data encryption). The resource will need to be familiar with the STS encryption protocol, SSL Digital Certificates and also TLS Digital Certificates. The resource should have previous experience of driving a large currency programme to upgrade approx. 1100 servers to the next version of Connect:Direct - recent experience working with Connect:Direct would be advantageous Experience of working within a Financial Services client will be hugely beneficial, whether this be in a Conect:Direct admin role or a middleware role. A knowledge of numerous platforms will be essential for the role as well as IBM file transfer tools - The work will be within a team of approx. 40 in addition to approx. 20 offshore, so will need to be a team player but the successful candidate will have their own workload that they will.
