My client who is a leading financial services company based in Pudsey seek 2 experienced WAF Technical Specialist to join their team on 6 month initial contracts. My client is expanding their IT Cyber Security function and this is an opportunity for an experienced IT Security/Networking professional to fill a role which will sit in the team monitoring every application that touches the Group's firewall including their Internet Banking systems. Ideally they would like the successful candidate to have experience of web application firewall products (specifically Imperva WAF products and/or Akamai KONA solutions) and an internet security/networking background, (i.e. CISCO certification). Incident support and change experience would also be extremely desirable. You'll need to be able to plan, control and monitor a range of services and initiatives and present customised solutions to meet business requirements. To succeed you’ll need to be capable of communicating complex information and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical skills, a detailed technical knowledge and experience of leading technical projects will be essential. Whilst the role will initially be to support existing staff in their production support and project roles, the environment is 24*7 and the role holder may be required to travel domestically and support changes/provide incident “call out” out of hours support.
