Our client is looking for a dynamic Emergency Planning Officer to cover maternity leave for a fixed term of 10 months. Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, occasional out-of-hours or weekends)

Salary: £35,392 - £42,618 pa/pro rata for part-time staff

About the Role

As an Emergency Planning Officer, you will play a pivotal role in preparing, planning, and responding to major incidents, ensuring the continuity of services in various emergency situations. Your responsibilities will include contributing to major incident plans, risk assessments, training sessions, and coordinating responses to diverse scenarios. Ideal candidates will possess a degree or at least one year's experience in emergency planning, with strong communication skills and a sound understanding of relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with healthcare staff, senior managers, directors, and external agencies.

Assist in developing effective contingency and business resilience plans.

Offer advice to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.

Support the Head of Organisational Resilience and Business Continuity Leads.

Provide expertise during incidents and contribute to testing and training.
