I have worked in specialist technology recruitment for over 15 years, focusing on platform and cloud engineering across SaaS companies in the US and Canada.

Most of the teams I support run production environments on AWS or Azure, often built around Kubernetes and modern DevOps tooling. These are live systems where uptime, deployment speed and cloud cost matter every day.

My work centres on platform engineers, SREs, DevOps engineers and senior cloud engineers who have actually run these environments. Engineers who have dealt with incidents, outages, scaling challenges and the responsibility of keeping platforms running.

On paper many engineers look similar. In reality there is a big difference between someone who has used the tools and someone who has owned the platform.

Over time I have built a strong network within this niche by staying close to the engineering community and understanding how platform teams are structured as companies scale.
