Myn Partner – Platform & Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
I have worked in specialist technology recruitment for over 15 years, focusing on platform and cloud engineering across SaaS companies in the US and Canada.
Most of the teams I support run production environments on AWS or Azure, often built around Kubernetes and modern DevOps tooling. These are live systems where uptime, deployment speed and cloud cost matter every day.
My work centres on platform engineers, SREs, DevOps engineers and senior cloud engineers who have actually run these environments. Engineers who have dealt with incidents, outages, scaling challenges and the responsibility of keeping platforms running.
On paper many engineers look similar. In reality there is a big difference between someone who has used the tools and someone who has owned the platform.
Over time I have built a strong network within this niche by staying close to the engineering community and understanding how platform teams are structured as companies scale.
I work through Myn because it gives me the infrastructure to operate properly. The technology, compliance and back-office support sit behind the scenes, which allows me to focus on relationships, market knowledge and delivery.
Whether you are building a platform team or working within cloud infrastructure and keeping an eye on the market, I value straightforward conversations and long-term relationships.
A lot of recruitment is still very transactional.
A role appears, CVs are sent, interviews happen and everyone hopes the match works.
That approach rarely works well in platform and cloud infrastructure hiring.
After 15 years in the market, I have learned that strong hiring in this space comes down to understanding the environment properly before the search even begins.
For clients, I focus on three things first:
Where your platform and engineering team are in their growth stage.
What strong engineering actually looks like inside your environment.
What the market will realistically respond to in terms of scope, ownership and package.
Most of the companies I support are scaling SaaS businesses running cloud-native systems across AWS or Azure. They are building platform teams where reliability, deployment speed and operational maturity directly affect the product and customer experience.
My focus is identifying engineers who have real ownership of production systems. Engineers who have been responsible for uptime, incidents, infrastructure automation and platform reliability.
That means the work starts long before a role goes live. I spend time mapping talent within this niche, understanding how teams are structured and tracking career movement across the platform engineering market.
For candidates, I take the same approach.
I am not interested in pushing moves that do not make sense. I focus on where engineers are heading in their careers, the type of environments they perform best in and whether an opportunity genuinely aligns with that.
Working through Myn gives me the operational support to do this properly. The technology, sourcing capability, compliance and funding infrastructure sit behind the scenes so I can focus on relationships, assessment and delivery.
You deal directly with me.
I stay accountable for the outcome.
If you are building a platform team and want specialist support in this market, we will likely work well together.
If you work in platform or cloud engineering and want to stay close to the market, I am always open to a conversation.
